Windows Phone 7 Gets Busy

Windows Phone 7 has been out for a few days now and the device is attracting a great deal of positive attention.

The manufactures are announcing support for Windows Phone 7. Dell announced the Venue Pro, Asus has released a handset, Adobe Flash 10.1 is on its way and Windows Phone 7 now supports Mac users.

In the city I live in all city centre phone shops are sold out. The marketing activity is primie time TV advertising. The reviews are generally very positive.

I have read in a few places that “everyone has an iPhone, Blackberry is boring, Windows Phone 7 is the cool one” or something similar. The system is differnet providing a real option for mobile phone users. The difference between Android and iPhone is far less obvious to the general retail shopper.

I expect Windows Phone 7 to perform very well in 2011 and take significant enterprise market share away from Blackberry. The device may well sell well with the gaming community working hard on the back of xbox.
