Here at MoRecNews.com we get through a lot of devices. Between our staff there is enough old mobile phones to start a mobile museum. I have 3 old iPhones in boxes. This is not very eco-friendly. I am sure we are not alone?

The upcoming Mobile and Video in Recruitment technology conference on the 28th of September will share a window into the future of mobile. Guess what, it will generate more old phones! Event orgainiser Mike Taylor says, “With mobile technology changing so quickly there are now hundreds of mobile phones just lying around gathering dust in Recruiters’ offices throughout the UK”

“So I thought I would invite our conference delegates to bring any unwanted mobile phones with them so we could raise money for the MacMillan Cancer Support Recycling Appeal. But then I thought, what about the Recruiters who won’t be at the conference, they will probably have some unwanted mobile phones as well!”

“With 90,000,000 (yes, 90 million) unwanted mobile phones across the UK it would be great to have as many Recruiters as possible involved in donating their unwanted mobile phones to help raise money for charity.

Taylor has set up a special web page where Recruiters can find out more information and also view a YouTube video about the appeal.
