Most cell phones are not Smartphones. Many don’t have data plans. But this has not stopped the Mobile Internet rampaging all over America.

The research from Pew Internet shows US phone activity. Email has increased and Internet access has grown by 52% in 12 months. If you look at the data activity of all kinds is up, this illustrates more modem handsets are in the wild and the consumer is using the new features.

38% of cell phone owners sampled stated they used Mobile Internet.

If we compare this data with that of activity of smartphone users in Morgan Stanleys Mobile Internet Trends, we see that activity of Mobile Internet has doubled over the last 12 months. Twice as many Mobile Internet page views and twice as many apps downloaded .

So we have more users, and they are more active!

Are you making use of this market? Can I search for your jobs on my phone?
